LOVE OF A GRANDMOTHER

When mother is away on duty,
When baby son is left at home,
When the world needs caring for the infant,
The grandmother becomes beloved one,
She comes and gives bath to her grandson,
Who then soundly sleeps after bottled milk-feeding.

The caring grandmother stays for several hours,
As if she is like a lesson for loving her grandson,
She loves all - her husband, her son, her daughter-in-law,
She does it all the time, today and tomorrow,
Since she came in the family, and remains as guardian,
Emotionally and profoundly she does her duty.

She does not work for money,
She wants peace in the family,
She likes to love and be loved by all,
Yet she is alone as confusion runs inside,
As if she is the blue sky with gentle trust,
That all members do not understand.

She is like a crown upon family-mirror,
Its image does hold no reflections,
She is like a running figure, none can think about,
Sea wave cannot be measured, she is like that,
She is an ordinary woman, a simple housewife,
She likes to embrace pathos for her loved one.

EVENING SHADOW OF HER SKY

She is the lover as lover’s design,
She lives with husband, neither lover nor a loved one,
She lives in great surprise of tracing life,
She is one of vibrant waves, quality of loving heart.

She wants to see the earth at lava eruption,
She wants to see bottom of the sea,
She is moving in the dream of happiness,
She does not see evening shadow of her sky.

She is skillful caring her grandchild,
She says she is in service of everyone’s needs,
She flows with daily wages, as no work no pay,
She is also a mother, a wife, she is owner of her family.

She says she has duty as a domestic help,
This family needs it, as all members are busy and talkative,
She thinks she is industrious grandmother, like bee,
To protect her grandson who is a baby, in need of caring.

She hopes her evening days will go out,
She looks nothing, yet cool in upward vision of peace,
All she does scrolling with life struggle,
With beautiful eyes she sees infinite rays of love and life.

ABSCONDER HUSBAND

“Love, more love” she says to someone,
She is pretty one when she appears in open sky,
And everything turns to be an irony,
When her bedroom turns chocked with grasping,
Her sneering on her husband’s hideousness,
That keeps her in pain, not being able to feel
Joy in his desert look at her, his distaste of loving sense.

He makes an order by telling her:
-“We will go to a marriage party,
Please, wear golden ornaments to attend the function.”
She fears, as he never says so violently like this,
As something going to happen coming from heaven,
All of those which are now falling like summons
His obsession with gold is not trustworthy, as,
All valuables, the least savings from her parents,
May get some flared up in anger of his greed,
She wants peace, no dispute she wants to inflict.

She has to believe him, as he is her husband,
She brings all her ornament and shows him.
And wears them all to please her husband
To make everything settled in affirmation of trust,
Without complicity, she has to obey, not to debate.
As if she lent herself to his openness from heart,
Of love to yield love in all gestures of love.

When occasion is over, she does not find her husband,
And she has not to wait to search out all things around.
And she detects her ornaments are missing,
Her husband never comes around to see her,
As if she is sitting in a queen’s throne without flowers,
She has only tears to share with all on this earth.

In the wake of love, she sinks into abysmal dark roots,
She stands before her parents, who are her rescuers,
Living in silence, with only one son, the only consolation.
She sees only hostile glassy emptiness itched,
By an absconder husband, it is mercy of God, her loneliness,
Being it only response to her love, something more than reward.
