Love is kind, love is good. Love is the only way we can have brotherhood. So don't complain, just love everyone the same, and you will find life will treat you to a good name.

Living with Poetry asimkumarpaul.blogspot.in
It is a life where seniority comes on the way, Senior citizens are like headlines of the journey, And before its course begins, one knocks one’s rights, And when age grows, passage of long way gives Stony thrust, black hair turns like white grass...

Ah, this is beautiful and poinant--I feel it; it alllows one to be in the place of an elder in this sadly unappreciative youth-worshipping culture. I feel the strength and also how much our culture needs elders. I would love to walk proudly into my elderhood; full of smile-lines and my grey hair glinting like a badge of courage and grace--a touch from Sophia (hopefully worthy of her touch). We can be friends honoring each other's elderhood--reaching with our hearts and helping with our hands where no hand is offered.

Thanks to Bhagirathi Mahasuar. I have tried to create a feeling and a space of life within my writing that I call to occupy a poetry; life is poetry.

I would love to "hear" another chapter to this poem--the ongoing story. Always when I read a poem, I become the poet's voice echoing inside. Some poems resonate more than others of course--but if the maker puts herself or himself into it--I will feel it.

Poetry is magic in the deepest sense. Sometimes the most simple poem can be very profound--it captures between the lines what is technically impossible to say. It works though because the poem is reconstructed in the heart of the listener. It is OK if one doesn't "get" a poem--it just means the piece didn't "echo" for you personally.
