SPRING RAIN
With the day break,
clouds cover the sky,
Where no sunlight
comes, and heart of water
Does hover over my
head when I am walking
On the roof-top of my
house, and drizzles
Are pouring in
all-around, it is beginning of March,
Mango flowers just
begin to bloom, and
Festival of colors (Happy Holi) begins countdown to come,
Things of beauty of
spring begin with Palash flower.
I raise my mind to
enjoy that beauty
In cloudy sky that
starts to show the earth
That has seasons with
vibrant show amid pleasing
Mind’s approach, as
long as
Smoothing illusion grows around mind’s journey,
Over hard situations
and we try to induct us
Into good weather, and
raindrops begin falling
With speed of stormy gush, not fenced with narrowness.
I am on the roof-top and get wet in rain
Raindrops get trapped within cornice walls
And concrete surface fails to soak water
That gets no speedy passage to go down drain,
Waters on the surface turn into a pool or sea
Where raindrops make stir to carry wave of life,
That caries running with bounces, re-bounces,
All are secrets of own songs of nature, delight.

COLLEGE SQUIRE LAKE
Rain just stops
falling,
I come out from a
shade of a shop
In the street of College
Squire,
Kolkata gets path of
swaying of rain.
I stop at College
Squire Lake,
A mist hovers in
circling strangeness,
Lake water cool and
vibrant with little waves,
Magical moments, behold
decent calmness.
Rain holds easiness
upon the earth,
It is the source of
charming apparel
In sequence of
philosophical tune,
I just take the path
of remembering
Of those days when I came
here
For taking a dig into career
Forty five years back,
and to me now
This lake is like something
born
Behind glossary of connective
terms
Those are still
musical in heart of
Roving life with
significant zeal to survive,
In the heights of
remembering the past.

RAIN IS COMING
There is construction in the dark cloud
Magic information old building shares,
Noting 64 seconds over traffic halts, for
Beginning of journey, city-streets perform.
Dark shade pointed to formation of water
In the rainy season, darkness hovering around,
Rain will come down with dancing bounce,
Life begins in a chain of communication
With hot weather of summer, an integrated
Affirmation with life’s sentiment for best guides,
We are on the way to make halts in raindrops’ verse,
For another passage that leads to our existence in the
hearts.

SINGING OF RAIN
First
rain drifted over the land of cultivation,
This
time it lays an emphatic shower for
A
green blanket stretched to horizon,
Water
makes lotus seeds sprout, and fills all
Nearby
ditches with water, to the brim,
Lotus
stem holds leaf floating,
Making
them get bloomed on water-island.
Farmers
start tilting mud on paddy field,
As
if light reflected on water drops in cloud
To
form green light passing through
Prism
of life that carries singing of life,
What
journey is is for life’s turn,
Meaning
to go on to possess long wing,
Ahead
of our dreams, to live with food grains.

CLOUD AND KRISHNACHURA
Krishnachura no longer in the firmament
At summer’s ending with cloud’s hovering,
Yet little bunches of red asylum still prevails,
Like taking a little flight at the grace of longing,
Let summer welcome rainy season’s vow.
Mind is open to greet rain, and rain waits to wet
Roots of tree that may give blooming more red
In space of the blue and the red in connoisseurs
Of life’s travel through the nature - lighting and
breathing,
That we like to have with silver and diamond rewarding.
This music in a string, visual presence shows grand
As lore of mother earth we hear beside our stand
The pleasant melody filling our existence within,
A cluster of cloud splendor of white screening
With redness in mind to greet new season’s dreaming.

WONDERFUL CLOUD
These clouds come out from the water of the earth,
They have thoroughfare, as programmed in air-path,
Tossed like tottered walks, yet firm with whitewash,
Making jewel of hovering water, quenching our thirst.
The blue has got the heart to hold them at far,
There they do move in freedom of mind we do search,
Here we upon the earth see their moment of purge
Forming water bubbles, to pour in ponds, tulip and
Rivers and bodies of the earth, we see through window,
Falling of rain, daisies of life, that we soak in mind,
In dream of life, new life, dwell with founding terms,
Those we build in our source of diamond murmurs.

THIS CLOUD
This cloud reminds me
When I was in my childhood,
Mother said I was young
To know the world,
Sometimes it is playful
Sometimes it is hurtful
Sometimes it is soothing,
Sometimes it is benign,
But many times it is bliss.
Cloud makes us turn to look
At the life’s vision,
Leading to a standard life,
That is amused with time,
For that reason we do well
And we feel tenderness of blessing
When cloud bursts into rain,
And the world rejoice
With all that it holds on surface.

RAIN
Rain,
rain, rain
Midnight
silence stirred
By
sounds of falling rain drops,
Noisy
rhythm fills the air
Breathing
of heart feels the thunder.
Tin
rooftop sounds fiercely,
As if
raindrops are fearless
To
pierce tin sheds with force
Of
bullets, raindrops remain
Thoughtless,
with death sentence.
We
are waiting
With
our destiny
Hearing
bursting sounds,
We
are praying
To
have sequence of waves
That
may cease air surge
That
brings softened storms
And we
may move to cool forms
Of
our living invocation
To
understand nature’s navigation.

SIMPLE LADY SIMPI BHATTACHARYA, A SIMPLE POEM
Simpy is a young lady
Awarded Honors degree
in English Literature,
She is wise and beautiful
She is preparing for building her career
Esteemed all over within her heart,
How she will see her future,
To get a Masters Degree,
And she has a good affinity in cooking food,
For making palatable Bengali Dishes,
It is her past time.
One rainy day, I was with her family,
As if I was in a tin shed home in a rainy season
Forty years back, standing alone on the corridor,
One young girl that time suddenly arrived and
Took me inside her home and give temporary shelter
To protect me not being wet in rain, and when rain
stopped
I returned home
with a great memory on young age romance.
This day Simpy, a daughter of my friend, makes
Dishes of Hilsha fish curry with her cooking experience,
She blushed red when I praise her for taking cooking
adventure,
She is curious to make everything right in order,
She is always in curiosity to know the unknown,
From the great world, it is still full of new things,
And her mother is feeling proud to hear praise of her
daughter,
She feels mirror image of her younger age of time
When she was like her daughter thirty five years back.
The world is retrieval of fanciful happening repeating
every time.
A RAINY EVENING
This poem is for Miss Riya Bhattacharya
It is raining, my presence and my thinking
Move along evening singing, with rainfall sounds
That make echo and come in room through window,
A clear falling sound of rainwater from rooftop outlet,
Making ground resonate, filled with water clogged,
My friend, being nostalgic, turns to gossip of our old
days.
Then his daughter, a research scholar in Economics
Comes forward to have hot tea and hot snacks,
And wearing a rain-coat, goes out like an angel to the market,
Her footsteps sound in rhythm of rain fall, with
resonance,
As she is digging clogged water to place feet firmly on
ground.
After a while she returns with some food stuff firmly
closed,
She is covered in
rain bubbles, looking beautiful in face,
She buys some puffed rice, hot and crispy potato chops,
And she serves lovingly hot tea and hot snacks in this
rainy evening,
This makes us stay in gossips and the young lady hears us
patiently,
She makes this rainy evening beautiful and charming
episode to remember.

THE RAIN, THE GREAT LOVE
The sky is full of clouds, thunders the thunder bolt,
The earth is hard to take water from the rain it gives
birth,
Every curve of crust goes to wet and curl in folds of
love,
Sensation that grows inside will create reflections and
healing.
The sun makes pressure on the crust to correspond with
rain,
So long scorching sunrays have evaporated organic fluid
of crust,
Water connections are dried up as much hyped stimulation
That has to keep equilibrium the meeting
that gives mood of the sun.
Rain, rain, you are sweet treating gain to keep the earth’s
sentiment
In stimulation with love that gives birth of healing
sensation,
We are the organic erogenous parts of the heaven’s
creation,
Love is our brain, as the rain rules the earth’s brain and
divinity.
Rain, rain, you are wet network that gives the crust a feeling,
With life in moving in syllable of hymens and speeches of
loving,
The wind blows with moistures of cool boost a highest living,
Rain, rain, you are the water path of our contained feeling of
existence.

TEEN’S LOVE IN RAIN
Rain, rain, more rain, I do love rain,
Drop, drop, more drops of rain do send
A comfortable staying in love and rain.
Time, time, more time, rain will fill
the earth,
With humble allowance, that supply more
love
For the earth where we live in pain,
Rain, rain, more rain, I do love rain.
She goes, studding in private tutor’s
home
She reads, takes notes, prepares for
class ten,
Good deeds she serves on the shore
That is filled with sweet breeze in
cloudy sky.
Pray, pray, more do I pray for rain,
That will bring comfort if I do meet her
In rain, in drops of rain, we do feel
love,
Sweet love, it is love in rain, over
generations.
I go out, find out the shelter under
plastic shade,
And from that position, I want to see
Her beauty, in drops of water on petals
That holds the blooming of lotus.
And slips over the watery life, sequences,
I am eager to live on her sights
All the time from my home to this life,
I do not want cellular life,
I want life of designed way of
sacrifice,
And I am in love with sensation,
And for the reason, I stay in shades
Of a pan shop near road side,
To see her, to walk with her,
In permeable of sense of life and love.
Waiting, more waiting, sweet waiting,
Lastly she comes out with frequent
looking,
And I run to her to greet her,
She opens her umbrella in rain,
And says, “Please come in. Do not get
wet in rain.”
